Great Moments in Towson History pt 1: 151 Reasons to Know Your Limit

It was the night of my first ever campus party as a transfer student at Towson University. Everyone was getting ready for the "Ice Cream Social." Put on something a little fresh, but not over-doing it because it still was nothing but a campus party. Basically, you're just getting right.

Three people, however, got right in another way.

Dre(The Mack), CJ(Booker T's #1 fan), and Karl(The Fatman)were all in CJ and Karl's dorm room taking shots from a rather large bottle of Bacardi 151. Background info on 151, it will F you up...BAD. Anyway, they were drinking like they were in the Bacardilympics. Warnings from their good friend PJ fell on def ears as they kept drinking.

On to the party. Everyone is in there having fun and enjoying themselves. The DJ even mixed the Go-Go in there right. Uh-Oh...here comes trouble, PG niggas that go to Morgan St and B-More niggas that go to Coppin St. Oil and Water folks...OIL AND WATER. Let's get ready to ruuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbbbllllllllllleeee.

So much for the party because those fools ended it. However, we couldn't find CJ when the dust settled. I go looking for him.

CJ is out on the terrace laid out. I'm thinking he got caught in the fight...go over to see him, not a mark on his face. CJ is drunk off his ass. Campus police shows up and CJ is underage so we need to get him out of there before he gets in trouble. Me and Tim C decide to carry him to his room...CJ is about my height plus 60 pounds...not light.

We get to the stairwell and CJ whispers "I got to throw up." We tell him we'll take him to the bathroom...but he doesn't make it. Luckily for Tim and I, we were spared. The police K-9, however, was not. That man hurled on the dog. The policeman just trying to deal with the other situation just tells us to "get him outta here."

So we carried CJ up the two long flights of stairs leading from the Union to his dorm. We evade RA's getting to his room. We open the door and what do we see...

Dre sitting on the bed with his head in his hands and Karl (he slept in the bathroom by the toilet that night) in the floor kneeling over a pool of what was left of dinner.

Sadly they learned their lesson, certain alcohol is to be drunk in moderation. They had a miserable night because of it and I got a bad back from it. Thanks CJ.

BRACKETOLOGY: Sucks to be a Wildcat.

If you're a fan of Arizona, Kentucky or Villanova-you had a rough week last week. Those three schools combined to play six games last week and they lost five of them (It would've been six but Rutgers choked one away). Now, for Villanova, it's just a blip on the screen so they're fine. However, Kentucky and Villanova better be careful. Arizona had lost 3 of their last four including a double whammy losing to Oregon and Oregon St over the weekend. Not good. Kentucky, not to be outdone, has lost 3 in a row including getting pasted by 27 at Kansas.

Arizona is schizophrenic so in the long run, I think they'll be alright (they play in the weak Pac-10 too). There are some real concerns with Kentucky. I was willing to attribute their early-season losses to Randolph Morris being out, but now he's back and they can't protect home court against Alabama and Vanderbilt. Whatever their problem is, they better fix it and fix it fast or they'll be playing in the wrong tournament in March.

To the bracket, I had to move some teams up and down a seed line this week for the first time this year. This was the toughest week to seed by far. There arent enough 1 seeds at the top and from seeds 5-7, nobody really stands out. Congrats to the CAA...welcome to world of multiple bids. Once again, the Final Four would be Washington, DC vs. Oakland and Minneapolis vs. Atlanta.
