So Random

Here are just some random thoughts I've been having lately:

So Ron Artest is on the cover of Penthouse Magazine. Now, there are many reasons why I'd want to "read" Penthouse. Trust me, Ron Artest, is in no way, affiliated with ANY of those reasons.

Congradulations to the Chicago White Sox and the Houston Astros for making it to the World Series. Now wake me when it's over.

Cam'ron got shot 3 times in DC this past weekend. The good rappers get shot and die. Cam'ron and 50 Cent get shot and they get to live. Look at the irony in that.

I don't think I talked about the Millions More March. Ten years ago I went to the Million Man March. People got on stage, gave some speeches and talked about empowering the Black community. Ten years later they're coming to do the same thing. STOP TALKING. START DOING.

There are a whole lot of movies I want to go see, but no one to go see them with. Ladies???

Remember, my entry last week about the NBA's new dress code and how I thought there were racial elements to it. So this guy Phil Mushnick of the New York Post writes this: "And now that Stern recognizes that NBAers are showing up to speak at schools and in airports and for TV interviews looking like recruitment officers for the Bloods and Crips, he's pushing a more civil dress code." Can't tell me I was wrong about that.

I started participating in Youth Program recently mentoring kids from Southeast DC. These kids are extremely rough around the edges and are very difficult at times. That just lets me know how much I need to be in that program. You can see the innocence in their eyes, but at the same time you can still see how they're being raised by the streets. It's no way, that I could not be apart of this program and be able to live with myself.
