Look at what we did...

We made the Ying Yang Twins famous. I mean seriously, they are bonafied stars. They have platinum albums, have performed on the MTV awards and have songs that get much play in nightclubs.

But look at these two fools. You mean to tell me that we said "forget that these two guys are idiots and are an EMBARASSMENT to the Black race." They wouln't be any more clowns if they painted their face and hopped out of a '87 Chevette.

These guys are getting this pub while Common and Talib Kweli struggle to go platinum. Seriously, as a society, we just continue to crawl down that hole.

We now move on to this past weekend's NFL Draft. I am just dumbfounded at what the Redskins continue to do this offseason. I'm convinced that the coaching staff and management have taken a vacation and monkeys are running the team. They didn't (couldn't) resign Fred Smoot and Antonio Pierce. They traded Laverneus (*sp) Coles straight-up for an oft-injured and rather small Wide Receiver in Santana Moss.

So, the biggest name they get in free agency is David Patten...hmmm. At some point of the season, Santana Moss is probably going to get hurt and there's a good chance Rod Gardner won't be with the team next year. So you're going to leave your downfield passing game, in an offense which was awful last season, in the hands of David Patten.

WHY do you pass up Mike Williams? This is nothing against Carlos Rogers, I hope he becomes a great player. However, the defense was the weak link of the team. We couldn't get any passing game going downfield and they pass up the guy whom I feel was the second best (explanation coming) in the draft.

Then what do you do. Joe Gibbs says he's only here for the short term, then why do you draft a QB in the first round when you just did that 3 years ago. Patrick Ramsey has gotten a raw deal all 3 years he's been in the league and then this b.s. starts. They had four other picks and drafted two linebackers (questionable, but can be explained) and not one, but TWO fullbacks. Seriously, who drafts 2 fullbacks? Especially when fullbacks aren't really a major part of your offense.

The more positive side of that draft came at the #12 pick (Dallas, to my pleasure, dropped the ball on this one). San Diego drafted the best player (Yes I'm biased because he's a Douglass Eagle) in the draft in Shawne Merriman. We're talking about a young man who HAD to work 2 jobs in High School while making the honor roll and playing football and basketball. He's a real humble guy who is the opposite of the menacing force that he is on the field. I'm proud of him and I'm happy for him and his family. He deserves it.

BTW, that #91 Chargers' jersey is getting got.
