Moving On

You ever see somebody holding on to something that they just need to let go. You know those people, you try to tell them to give it up, but they just won't listen. "Aye dogg, you just need to let that go and move on."

You ever seen an old man that's had a car for so many years, but he just don't want to let the car go. "This a good car right there, you wish you had a car like this." Yeah, I want a two-toned car in the primer color and faded red. The car is 17 years old...they don't make motors to last that long. Why is this man thinking it's just sick and it's going to get better. Man, that's just like switching the places of the batteries in your remote...you're going to get a couple of clicks out of it and then it's over.

Now, I know those are some comfortable shoes, but they talking out the side. You can't be wearing them out like that anymore. How you going to be walking and everytime you take a step your shoes blowing kisses. I know shoes can be expensive, but you got take a L on these ones. Maybe they can be revived as "Lawn Mowers."

My pops' T-shirts. This man can be missing half the shirt, but as long as the other half is clean, he's going to wear it. How you supposed to be wearing T-shirts for extra insulation in the winter and you got air conditioning coming through. We try to tell him but sometimes he doesn't listen. So to guard against this kind of nonsense...we just throw the raggedy ones away.

Ok...the truth behind this post is because of me. Instead of folks having to ask me one by one, I'm laying it out. I think every since we went through our situation in the Spring, me and my girl were holding on to something that we shouldn't have been. We finally realized that while we still love each other, it was time to move on. So there will be no wedding. We ended on good terms and we will remain friends. I don't regret any part of it either, not even proposing because I enjoyed the time I was with her and I learned a lot. I'm not down, depressed or anything like that because God has blessed me with a good friend that I'll cherish for the rest of my life. Now with that said...ladies...I'm accepting applications (joke). After 3 YEARS...I'm chillin' for a while. Oh...and just because I'm single...DOESN'T MEAN I'M BUYING YOU A DRINK. LOL
